I can't decide between the iOS and Android workflow, which one do you recommend?
If you are already working with an ARKit based workflow we recommend using our iOS Face Capture system. If you are new to Face Capture, or looking to expand your Face Capture setup, both options are great and you can watch our Youtube tutorials to get a better understanding of the workflow differences.

Do I need your head mounted devices (Headcam or Headrig) to use your face capture apps?
For our iOS Face Capture workflow, the face tracking uses the iPhone's TrueDepth camera and does therefore not require the Headrig. However, our users have found the Headrig to be the perfect solution for placing their iPhone in a comfortable and stable way in front of their face.
For our Android Face Capture workflow, the face tracking uses the Headcam's high-speed infrared camera as well as the solver that goes with it. Therefore, Android Face Capture users will need to purchase the Headcam.
Do I need a computer to use your face capture apps?
Yes, the Rokoko Face Capture apps, both for iOS and Android, connect to Rokoko Studio, our software, over WiFi. The apps gives you real-time feedback of the tracking and allow you to trigger a recording in Rokoko Studio (or stream the data in real-time to your preferred 3D software, with one of our integrations). When the recording is over, the file is saved in Studio and ready for export.
