• Your entry must relate to the "ROKOKO TV" theme.
• Your entry must be made with Rokoko mocap tools or assets (free ones available, see details in the next FAQ rule folder).
• The contest is a digital art competition meant for artists of every skill level who have an interest in character animation.
• Any visual render style is allowed (including 2D).
• The submission can be individual or collaborative with maximum 2 participants. In the event a duo wins, it is up to the two artists to divide the prizes among themselves.
• The entry for Best Render category must be 7-seconds with a focus on character animation.
• The entry for the Best Breakdown category must be 7-20-seconds with a focus on motion capture.
• The entry has to be published publicly on at least one social media platform of your choice, and tagged with the hashtag #madewithrokoko
• The entry should include sound design, but no use of copyrighted audio or extensive music is allowed.
• The entry has to be a clean render without any burn-ins or graphic overlays.
• The delivery must include a screen recording of your motion capture take in Rokoko Studio.
• The entry must be submitted by January 29 2024 at 11.59 PM CET through this upload form.

• Ratio: 4:3 (horizontal:vertical)
• Min. resolution: 1920x1440
• Framerate: 24 FPS
• Duration for Best Render: 7 seconds, 168 frames in total
• Duration for Best Breakdown: 7-20 seconds
• File Format: MOV or MP4, H264/H265
• File naming: ArtistName-SubmissionTitle.mov/mp4

By submitting your entry with the requirements above, you are eligible for the prize pool and allow Rokoko and our sponsors to showcase your entry on our website and social platforms.

You need to use Rokoko's mocap tools or Rokoko's pre-made assets for your character animation.

Luckily, even if you don’t own a Rokoko hardware product like Smartsuit Pro II or Smartgloves, there are plenty of other (free) ways to access mocap tools or assets in the Rokoko ecosystem:

• Record a custom mocap animation with Rokoko Vision, a video-based AI solution accessible to everyone in their browser with a webcam. The single-cam feature is completely free, the dual-cam feature can be accessed for free for 14 days (if you already used up your trial, write support@rokoko.com to reset it).
• Download a pre-made asset from the Rokoko Motion Library (includes both paid and free assets).
• Download a pre-made asset from our Free Resources page.

Submissions that include mocap animations or animation assets made with other tools or downloaded from other platforms will automatically be disqualified.

The tool or asset you choose to use will not be a determining factor for the "Best Render" and "Community Favourites" categories. However it could have an incidence if you are trying to contend in the "Best Breakdown" category, as recording your own original mocap animations and using them creatively could give you an edge.

Your final entry has to be published on any social media platform(s) of your choosing with the hashtag #madewithrokoko as a public posting.

You are also more than welcome to share your artwork's progress during the challenge and encourage you to tag us at @hellorokoko and add the #madewithrokoko tag.
